Alarm System issues with my X5

Hi All,
I have a 2005 4.4 X5 and recently started having issues with the alarm system. Alarm activate itself randomly especially when out side temperature is higher the 30 C. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of alarm and specially internal motion sensor . Any help is appreciated .Thanks in advance.

mostly cause by faulty switch in the hood comparment. disconnect the switch for 10min. and plug it back in if it dont help, you need to replace that switch.

Exactly. Just unplug the hood switch and you'll be fine...

I have the same problem. Thanks to your picture I see where it is, but how do you disconnect it? The connection seems pretty solid.

Lift the locking tab and unplug the harness from the switch
