Emblem size?

Hey guys,

My front hood's bmw emblems has etched away leaving a chrome finished circle. I know there are replacement emblems on the net available but im not sure what sizes they are.

Do you measure the outside diameter, or for the wheel caps emblems; the inside diameter?

On ebay, I found a 7 piece kit so Im looking for the size of the hood, trunk, steering wheel, and 4 wheel cap emblems.

bmw has 2 size emblems : hood and trunk.
All hood emblems are same
