Plus, if he didn't see you the first time you hit the breaks, it's probably too late, nothing "brighter" brake lights will fix LOL
Rasta, I saw someone with leds with the light below the reverse light illuminated!

I'm jealous. Now I have to figure out how to make this work. When I simply put a bulb in there upon installation, it didnt work.

And I dont recall if the person was braking or not when I saw this light lit up. I was just amazed it was even on. I've seen at least a dozen led tails on other X's and never saw these lights lit.

This is the rear fogs that you do not have in the US
I dont think it is only a bulb, It has an extra button on the lights switch

I have fogs and LEDs ... do you want a pic?

Yes Essam, I'd like a pic thanks. Do you think the person I saw rewired his X or something to make that rear fog light up? U sure we dont have it here in the US?

Either way, I'm going to make mine work! Next project for me.

Just want to be sure....

I just purchased a set of LED tail lights from Zomk Speed. They say the LED's will fit 01, 02 and 03 (never stating 04-06)... but I have a 2004 model. There's no difference in the rear brake lights from those model years to the 04, 05 and 06??

For Ldiggs and others who wanna see.
In Australia & NZ (and probably Europe) this is what our dash light switches look like (I don't have auto h/lights though). The switch lower right is for the rear fog, LHS is for the front.
We all get rear fogs here, most strange how it's not standard in the US, especially given that your winters are a lot harsher than ours what with heavy fog, blizzards, snow, sleet and god knows what else.
Pic of rear fogs on as well.

Thanks X Foomph. It is strange, my 93 volvo had a rear. It must have something to do with US regulations not requiring it, so BMW chooses not to spend extra dough to include them.
