BMW recalling 200,000 vehicles

Does that mean they will extend the factory warranty to 10 years? I couldn't tell from the article.

I have a 2006 with comfort seats and I don't get it either - is that bumper to bumper warranty or just the seats?
If it's bumper to bumper - what happens to those folks who purchased the extended warranty - refund?

looks to me it is just the seats:

BMW said under the extended warranty program, the detection mat in a vehicle with the air bag system problems would be replaced at no charge to the customer.
