I wouldn't because it is a 3.0 - lots more power in a 4.4 and more or less the same gas 'economy'. The price differential between the two models is probably at an all time low so no reason to get a 3.0.......unless you are going to say that you "don't really need the extra power" ...nobody does but it's fun

I take a lot of time/research in looking for a car and comparing prices. I don't go for the lowest price, but won't get ripped off. I really don't know $ for 3.0 b/c it never interested me; and b/c it doesn't interest me, I would guess w/CPO and sport for $25k. Nothing against 3.0, it's just not enough power for the same +/- 1mpg. I would never buy one. Next time you talk to any of them... say "I am working with other BMW dealerships in the tri-state area, but what do you have to offer me"... then say I will look at and compare the numbers and get back to you. Trust me, there is a lot of inventory out there and they will sh''t there pants and probably go down even more so they don't lose your business. Give them a taste of their own medicine!!!

Good luck!

I didn't have a great experience with the service dept at Open Road BMW for what it's worth Morristown was 1000 times better which is weird bc their owned by the same company.

Those ebay links seem like great deals...plus if it is covered under BMW factory warranty you can pay the 3k premium that the dealer charges you for a CPO and buy an extended warranty through BMW that is identical to the CPO warranty...def something to consider.

I just went through a month of the same and finally buying a 2006 with 26,000 miles. $32,000 is a great pice for 15,000 miles and NAV. I wanted a certified car so I ended up buying it in West Chester New York because they offered the best price. I agree that most dealers won't drop much on these cars because they don't sit long. I paid $29,000. the closest best was in Jersey at $34,000 for 34,000 miles. The BMW Web site allows you to search all dealers. I kept looking until I found one that was ready to deal. Try Ralleye in New York they have a huge inverntory which helps getting a lower number. I took the 60 month financing at 5.4%.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a CPO 2006 X5 3.0 w/ 17K miles for $26,800. No NAV but everything else. Silver w/ black leather - clean carfax. Good deal?

Yes panoramic roof and it is certified...I am just hoping they give me $16k for my Acura TL trade. I will find out tomorrow I have an appointment at noon. I won't haggle them down if they give me decent trade-in...otherwise it will get interesting. Any tips?
