Update on wrecked X5

My baby is totalled. Part of me is relieved, but I am also really sad as it was really trimmed out the way I wanted it. I had just had it for 30 days when it was hit. They originally told me 12500 in damages but got in deeper and found quite a bit more damage. JUST DAMN!!!...Ok...I need help finding...another one. I am seriously contemplating a 2002 4.6is. I am trying to keep in the low 40s...so keep you eyes open....

navigation is a must. I would like comfort seats, but I could deal with it if not. Other than that....a 4.6is doesnt have many more options to choose from...if the price is right....I would fly out and drive it back.

Let me know what you find on it.

Thanks

Philip

Sorry to hear about that... But then again, it might be better to not drive a car that's been in a fairly serious accident. Last time I was at my dealer, Tulley BMW in Nashua, NH (three weeks ago, maybe?), they had an Estoril Blue '03 4.6is.... It was BEAUTIFUL! It was loaded.. Nav, sport seats, and load floor. The interior was the alcantara, not leather. I think it had anthracite wood trim, but I could be making that up... I have to go back there next week anyway (due to an unpleasant encounter I had the other day, involving a boulder) so I'll look for it... Good luck with your search!

I'd be glad to inspect anything you find in the DC area, Phil. Good luck on the search for a new X!

I'll be glad to start looking around for you, I know you want the 4.6, but you'd 'settle' for another 4.4, right? Around 40K with average or low mileage?

JV

EDIT: Just from a quick online search:

2003 Black 4.4

Titanium 4.6is

03 Imola 4.4

The dealer called "Select Auto Imports" is 2 miles from my house and I know the guys there, they advertise with my station. They have only tip-top vehicles on their lot, you just gotta avoid their 3rd party warranty if they try to sell you on it.

I'll keep an eye out.
