Add on NAV System to 06

Has anyone added an aftermarket in dash nav system? Kenwwod makes some nice units with IPOD ready, cd, dvd. They are double din though. New owner.

Never thought I would be one of 'those' guys, but this subject is beaten to death in many threads - some that I started. If you search, you will find your answers.

Ouch! I should have guessed. I really did scroll through all the lists. I 'll try again. For the time it took you to post this reply you could have thrown me a bone. I'll go sulk in my muscle car forums.

Or I could have said "go search."

The reason I did is because there are tens of threads on the subject and it is much easier to suggest to you that you search than it is for me to search for you, then list all the threads for you.

Funny how everyone seems to take the "search" suggestion as some kind of an insult.

look man why not just stay off and let someone else chime in. You just killed the thread. If it was so easy, I wouldn't have posted the question. That said I still can't find anything. If you're one of those Bemmer snobs, back off. If you have an answer let's have it. I have memberships on other high tech forums, I build high performance cars, but I can't find any info on adding a nav set up to this car my daughter has that doesn't come with nav. Now if you can help, help if not bug off. if you really want to know something about high performance come post on NA-T or Supraforum or stangnet or just keep toot tooting your Dad's nice Bemmer horn.

Yes, look at all the other responses. But if anyone else had answered, after being here a while, I'm pretty confident their answers would be similar.

No, I am not a bimmer snob at all.

And I have the answer that I found while searching. I think you will if you bother to. Does that help?

As for performance cars, no, I didn't ask about any. Why would you think I have any interest?

I don't know why you are in such a snit. I posted that you should search because I think that is the easiest way for you to find your answer. If you don't like my answers or my suggestions you are perfectly welcome to ignore them.

But if you are interested in finding the answers you seek simply search for navigation and as I said you should find your answers. There are at least 500 posts on the subject.

Oh, and my dad really liked Cadillacs. He never owned a BMW.

I would suggest taking a look at the Pioneer AVIC-D2 (this is a good search term):

I have no personal experience, but I have seen a lot of discussion on it.

Hope this helps!
