Door locks
I know the dealership can program the computer to lock the doors at 5mph, but does anyone know if they can be programmed to unlock when the car is placed into park? I have an X5 and a 325i, I am soooo tired of my passengers complaining about pulling the door handle twice....Some are even so confused when the door doesn't open the first time that one would think I'd just handed them a calculus test.
"My Taurus costs half as much and I only have to pull the handle once." Idiots!

I don't think it can be programmed to unlock when put into park.

Personally, there are some places I've been that I don't want to have all the doors unlock just because I turned off the ignition! - I DO wish the locking feature was based upon the car starting up vs after it being in motion

I just use the all open button in the center console on my 01' once in park hit the button and then there is no need to pull that handle twice. I also do this even when it is only me in the car. It helps with the mechanisms on the other doors stay functional, at lease I think so.It is just a habit I was told to do this so I do
