I don't think it can be programmed to unlock when put into park.

Personally, there are some places I've been that I don't want to have all the doors unlock just because I turned off the ignition! - I DO wish the locking feature was based upon the car starting up vs after it being in motion

I just use the all open button in the center console on my 01' once in park hit the button and then there is no need to pull that handle twice. I also do this even when it is only me in the car. It helps with the mechanisms on the other doors stay functional, at lease I think so.It is just a habit I was told to do this so I do
