Cool Air Filter Change Help

Dear All,

I would like to change my air filter myself on my 3.0d Sport and wondered firstly where is it? post pictures if poss please.

Is it best to change it for the standard BMW one or to say a K&N Air Filter? I do not have any warranty to worry about.

Many Thanks

Well I was searching for a pic to show you where the filter was but..couldn't find one

As from the replacement, go with the BMW standard one. The K&N will not void a warranty but really doesn't offer you anything. Do a search on this site for K&N filters and you will see some results. Just stick with the OEM filter

Often, the parts store that sells the filter will assist in installing it for no charge if you ask for help. I agree, stick with a OEM brand paper filter. Good luck
