3 weeks into my new x5, a freakin rock came onto my hood and made two scratches on my black sapphire metallic. Anyone recommend an suggestion on fixing this?

Same thing happened to me within 1 hr of picking mine up.

I also got a crack in my window from a rock within the first week.

There are a number of 3M clear bra films that will cut back on the number of rock chips that you will get, or you can go with a traditional bra.

If it is small enough for a simple touch up, take a look at Autovisuals I bought some of their black sapphire metallic and it is dead-on perfect match. Also, the pen is the best I've used. Check this thread too for some tips: http://www.xoutpost.com/showthread.php?t=851

Thanks for the info. The clear won't work in this situation, damn rock skid across my hood beginning in the middle. Errr!
