EEPROPM KI on Instrument Cluster

Hello all,

On the '04 X5 with 35K miles, I noticed the above note EEPROM KI for a split second. I read through the previous posts, and it leads to Instrument Cluster. Is there something wrong with the cluster? What happens if it's not replaced? Does the problem get worse?
