Thumbs up HELP Installing TV in Motion Lead?

I've purchased a TV in Motion Lead from a supplier on Ebay.
Lead has two ends so i would have assumed wouldnt be tricky to install.

But... theres always a but!! Not as easy as i thought it would be!

1) Where does the lead go inbetween?
2) Where do i find the TV module in my 2005 X5
3) I have seen pics on this site of tv module next to the battery. Where is the damn battery on the X5.
4) any one with pics of these positions/locations?

Am sorry if i come across Stu*id! Its beacuse i have only had my X5 6days! This is the first mod, been waiting for the Lead to deliver for over a week ha. And its not running as smooth as i hoped it would. But am sure one of you fantastic people will be able to help??

Not sure about the rest, but I know the battery is under the spare tire. There's a cover over the battery, radio module, etc...
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
Good luck!

The lead goes between the TV module and the nav computer. Technically you don't even have to access the TV module, which if you have one would be located down next to the radio module in the spare tire well. All you have to do is remove the nav drive and plug it in-line to the blue connector and you should be all set.

You do have a video module, right

Whats difference between Nav Drive and Nav computer. i assume its the same thing?? am i right? i use 4 long pins to remove it.. eg pull it out?? blue connector goes at the back?? Is this where the nav DVD goes..
Sorry about all the questions.. just want to get it right!! Probably tackle this tonight.. if it doesnt rain.. ha..

Ive just installed this lead today so here`s where mine was.. go in to the boot, remove the spare. Now you`ll see a BIG BLACK dome, un bolt the FOUR bolts which are on the triangle pieces of steel (not the little bolts holding the dome to the steel). Lift that off (I think it`s the abs stuff).. Now un screw the black cover saying BMW.

Now unscrew the two silver screws to the left of the plastic frame holding a few modules, also unscrew the ONE silver screw at the top right of the frame and slowly lift the WHOLE plastic and modules up. At the right hand side, slotted IN TO the plastic is the tuner. You`ll see the blue connector, that`s what you un plug and plug your lead in to.

Well i will try that location next.

I tried, as an earlier post suggested straight out the back of the NaV unit. Blue connector was there. Was a struggle to get it fitted, but somehow i managed.

Was all going well untill i put the car in reverse!! damn!! DIDNT work.

Someone have a solution?? Need some help! and am not the only one!

What happened when you went in to reverse? I saw the blue connector on the nav unit but it was quite a bit smaller than the one on the tv in motion lead. At the point when you CAN see the nav unit by the battery, you still wont be able to see the tuner, it`s at the right hand side inside the plastic unit that the nav unit is also fastened to.

Well nobody has answered me yet and Soundlinx dont seem to be very clued up either. If they dont help me then I`ll just return it to them, I`ve followed the instructions to the letter but it just wont show the tv.. It`s a shame cause steering controls work good with channel change and I can choose different audio to the tv now too.. I hope you have better luck than me. I`m assuming you know that the module is by default not set to show the tv picture, you have to hold the <> (auto reverse) button in for 3 seconds until the screen goes blank to activate the feature.. This is where mine doesn`t do as it`s told.
