90k checkup Insp II

made it back to SC just as the odometer hit 90,000 - setup an appointment at Rick Hendrick BMW of Charleston for the 90K Insp II, & oil change - 2.5hrs later I'm $650 poorer - $157 parts, $473 labor - Am due for all 4 brakes/rotors soon - Definitely going to the independent mechanic for that!

I had my Inspection II last week. Thank goodness I decided to get the extended warranty and extended maintenance package. Easily pays for itself!

When was your inspection 1 done? Mine is due for inspection 1 at 30, 000 miles.

Man you gotta start going to a good indy shop. You are paying top dollar right now. Are you handy at all? I bet you could change your brakes yourself. Easy!

look in your manual - BMW has 2 different types of inspection, Insp I & II, due at alternating intervals - Inspection II is alot more detailed - sometimes it's good to have the car thoroughly gone over - in retrospect, I should have had it done at Exclusively Bimmers in Mt Pleasant,SC as my dealer in Idaho does an excellent job of caring for my X5

I looked in my manual it tells me what they go over in each inspection but it doesn't say when it should be done. Is it the owners choice to get it whenever?
