4.8is startup exhaust "braaap" gone with 30K service?

I just had my 30K service on the 4.8is. Wife mainly carts around the kids, so I hadn't really noticed. I have been driving it this week, and paid close attention for the last 2 days...

The "braaap" exhaust note on startup is gone, and replaced with something much more subdued. Warm or cold, it's gone, and even more subdued when warm.

Some kind of software update performed during service?
Anybody else noticed the same thing?

I got so many compliments on that startup sound, and even the wife had taken a liking to it. I feel robbed.

They should refund your money if they that amazing sound from you... not fair. Good luck.

I would be pissed as well if I were you since that is something that I love about the 4.8is. I would ask them what exactly was done, or if you have the dealer invoice post what kind of things were documented on there so we can help you figure it out.
