"Key in ignition lock" everytime I turn the car off

Hey guys, everytime I turn my X off, the cluster display flashes "Key in ignition lock" and beeps. I turn the car off and immediately take the key out, but it still does this. Is this a common problem on X's, or is this rare? And what can I do to get rid of this message?

Thanks

both of mine have done this, seems to be a common issue. it realizes quickly that there is no key and stops it though
