I just typed Extended Warranty into that neat lil' tab, upper right, 3rd in from the right, called the Search Tab...up pop pages and pages of threads on the topic. Fwiw, several of us here have Ext Warranties by Warranty Direct, and most of us have had good luck with them.
Welcome to the Board: there is little under the sun that cannot be answered here by someone, but try using the Search Tab first. GL,mD Extended Warranty: http://www.xoutpost.com/search.php?searchid=1439070

Ol'JukeBox regularly: -window regulators -water pump/thermostat/related hoses -coolant reservoir/hoses -valve cover gasket, esp on your 4.4 V8 -oil seperator/crank breather, esp. in your MN cold winter clime -CV boots -auto trans and, others. You might have a local BMW stlr "run your key" to see its service, maintenance and recall history: all the info is there in the key, if done by any BMW dlr. Do some searching; there is seldom a "new" question that hasn't been covered/answered/beaten to a pulp. Great Board, great posters...enjoy. GL,mD |

Purchased an extended warranty when i bought my 2003 4.4 brand new.
The warranty has served me well, it's covered replacing both front struts + air suspension (leak), Both CV's axles. You just need to be careful about the details. My extended warranty doesn't pay for "resets" for fault codes (e.g. inactive suspension lights) In some cases the warranty won't cover the full job, (e.g. they prefer to replace a cv boot instead of the axle if ripped) As long as your not expecting 100% coverage on repair costs, you'll be fine. It's more along 80 to 90% in my experience. |
