Inspection coming up...looking for feedback
Indie gets the X on Monday for a 100,000 (actually 100,940) mile check up. Things I know...new plugs, belt, tensioner, oil seperator lines, and computer re-set to factory specs.
Things to do on the prevent. maint area...water pump, thermostat, valley pan gasket, fuel filter and a metal rod that runs from the front to rear of engine that connects 2 components (not sure what this is...Help).
The X runs great, beyond great actually (falls into the to good to be true category). It's a 4.4i true sport package 2001 model year.
Looking for feedback on what else he may find, Indie is a 74 year old gentleman who has been in the business forever, his sons are the mechanics (I trust him) and don't expect for him to pad his findings with needless crap. No idea on cost yet also looking on feedback on what to expect.
I've really fallen in love with the X and keep waiting for the catastrophic breakdown many on these forums keep speaking of, I guess those that don't have many issues don't post on the forums. Trying to stay ahead of the curve on the maintainance issues and all input is much appreciated.
