Quick question for E53 owners.

My question is in regard to the mixing dial located in the middle of the center dashboard vent. I'm referring to the dial with the blue and red dots.

When I move mine to the coldest position it does not stay put. It always rolls back a bit. Sometimes more than others. Dealer replaced the vent and it has not improved. Now the dealer claims this is normal.

I had a 330ci that did not do this.

What does yours do?

Mine will sometimes do this - I have found if you roll it back all the way the opposite direction and then back to where you want it, that usually fixes it.

i can never get mine to stay on the highest "red" setting without rolling back a few dots. Not a big deal for me as this option really does not do much.

...mine requires some effort to "rotate" it,
and it stays put.

Mine use to roll back, but now since I use it a little more it has stopped. It works perfect. I never really noticed before how much of a difference this dial makes.
