Talking Performance Exhaust Question?

Hi All,

I am looking to upgrade the exhaust in my 2006 3.0i. My goal is to change the exhaust, but not the entire exhaust, just the muffler. I have read a few threads and it was suggest to look into the B&B triflo (about $1200) Eisenmann Race Exhaust (about $2200), and Supersprint (about $1500. Would be great it I had the cash to do it. Long story short has anyone here just upgraded the OEM mufflers, and what do you recommend?

Thanks

All of these exhausts are basically just new mufflers.

If you dont have the cash, take out the center resonator and do an xpipe or straight pipes.

Another option would be to purchase some magnaflow mufflers but what a pain... too much messin around.

Hi Krunk,

I did that last weekend, had the resonator deleted and an xpipe put in its place, but still didnt give me that sound i was looking for. I know my 3.0i will never sound like a 4.4 or v8 but I atleast wanted more sound.

What do you mean by magnoflow mufflers being a pain? Isnt it just a matter or a muffler shop welding them on? or do you mean that you dont like the mufflers themselves?

just finding the right sizes, welding the mounting hangers, making sure the tips look right.

What you need to do is save enough dough for a remus or supersprint.

Look on ebay, craigslist..
