Yeah sorry Silver I keep forgetting to ask the guys at the shop what the model # of the camera was...but we are going to be working on changing the interior lighting theme to ice blue this next weekend (controls/button/everything) so I'll try to get the exact model # for everyone.

Sorry this has taken so long but here is the model number of the camera that we used and the link to where we got it.

It is a B/W Microvideo Pinhole Camera Lens model # PC182XP

We have also done a couple of the interior light upgrades so I'll be posting some pics of that to give a little teaser of the Ice blue interior lighting scheme that we are doing.

Lucasrj,

Just wandering if when you had your steering wheel controls connected if they connected your R/T button? I read that that button was not programmable but I programmed it as my mode button to switch between the sources. With my old radio i noticed that it would switch sources every now and then when I started my X. But with the new radio it changes the mode everytime I turn on my X unless I am hitting one of the other steering wheel controls at the time it sends its signal (about 10 seconds after I turn on the key). Not a major problem just annoying as heck. I think I will clear the programming for that button but was wandering if you have the same issue....

Yeah the guys at highline also programmed my R/T button to select between the modes of the AVIC Z3. But I've never had issues with the AVIC Z3 changing modes when I turn the X on or at any other time. It could be because I had the digital controls on the left side due to the BMW bluetooth handsfree and so the guys had to manually reconfigure the switches on the board so that they would work with the PAC module. It almost sounds like there is an issue with your PAC module.

Did you get your camera installed?

Yes maybe my PAC module is bad, so I will try to reprogram that button to see if it works. I have not got the rear view camera yet, been on the road a lot lately, spent six weeks in Vegas and getting ready to go to Tampa for six months so my projects with the X have been very slow moving.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Usually a blue wire... Are you using the kenwood or the stock amp wiring for the remote signal?

I've thrown AVIC's into many BMW's and retained factory steering wheel controls.

The part you're looking for is made by PAC. The part number is SWI-PS. This part can be found all over ebay and other audio retailers that carry PAC products. The actual company is out in Santa Ana, CA last time I remembered.

You can check their website at : Welcome to Pacific Accessory Corporation
I'd look and see if this PAC unit will do it. I have a PAC repeater on my Pontiac working with a pioneer and it works great.
