Webasto Thermo Top Z makes noise after unlooking the car
Before I do anything more the Webasto Thermo Top Z starts to make sounds like a small engine that have trouble to start, and I hear ticking sounds like a relay switching on and off. This only happens when the car has been unused for several hours. Do anyone know whats wrong.

Hello!
You say Thermo Top Z and as i understand you have 30d engine ) These sounds are normal, because of "Z" Webasto Type. "Z" is completely same as "C" But it works only like additional heater (NOT parking heater) It starts working because diesel engine running at idle speed cannot produce enough heat for climate system. ticking sounds - fuel pump pulsation (placed near tank) Dont worry about this - ewerything is OK, enjoy your Diesel )

This sound comes before I start the engine.

Yes, sounds wery strange.
Like Webasto want to start, but there is not enough power. I think you can check webasto connections. This sound is like starting air pump(but start fails)

I have got a thermotop z also on my 3.0d but how does it start, when the weather is cold it starts by itslef when I unlock the doorts or start the car, problem is weather in cyprus is very hot so won't know if it works or not....or should I not care?
