Riding Dirty

Hey guys, I posted a couple months ago when I got my X5 about the front license plate bracket. Thanks to everyone that replied. I purchased the part from Morristown but I can't see how the sent bracket could possibly fit my bumper. PM's to them have gone unresponded. Mine is a 2005 4.4i. Does anyone have the part number for this front license plate bracket? I really need to get this installed and stop ridin dirty before the VA get me! Thanks!

Don't have the answer on the part number but Morristown BMW is no longer a sponsor (so would not expect them to respond to PM).

They did say to email them on [email protected] for orders/questions though...

I would just keep the front tag with me and say the holder fell off, or just duct tape it to the sunvisor. (Its visible!)

Is there a different one for pre-facelift and post-facelift? Yours is an '05 so you might have gotten an older one. They are pretty contoured to fit the bumper so the different front bumpers could require two difference parts. I think both require two holes to be drilled.

The black plastic "bumpers" are quite different in old style and face lifted
model years. It should be obvious how it goes on, or you may have the
old style bracket as PNG suggested above.

Why not roll by a BMW stlr, smooze them or pay ~$20 and get the plate
holder and plate, put on?

Not sure I understand your post. What is thread crapping? Who grew up?

Now that you bring it up, I think that if I wanted to email Morristown BMW, I would send it to [email protected] and [email protected]

Some people were unhappy with Morristown BMW Parts. I agree that they weren't always the most responsive but I bought MANY items from them at prices that were very nicely discounted...
