Found scratches after service w/ dealership

I noticed them when I got the X back last night and it was noticeably gleaming right back at me. I am assuming the tech was leaning towards the engine bay and his clothes were rubbing on the quarter panel. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before I brought it in. I'm 50/50 about bringing back and complaining. Anybody else have similar experience? It's been bothering me since last night. Just had to vent

yes, I've had a similar experience, they will be reluctant to claim responsibility especially since you drove it off the lot, however they have buffed out the scratches they caused on mine and they cut my seat one time

Depends on your relationship with your SA/dealer.

My experience:

sounds not too serious scratch. probably just on the clear coat. if you want to deal with it yourself. you can try the rubbing compound.

It'll probably buff out (that was plan B). I just feel I have to let them know this is unacceptable. I also fear that they will just have one random tech guy rub polish in order to fix it.

Had a hitch installed. Did not notice anything. Went home. Wife noticed pock marks/road rash on the rear bumper and some were filled with touch up paint. I was furious. Called the service rep the next morning. Did not doubt my story. They gave me loaner and repainted the back bumper.

After I came back the mechanic admitted that the bumper fell off a trash can he had placed it on.

Try to see if it can be buffed out at a detail shop. My experience on getting a dealer to fix it is unless you see at the dealer when you pick it up they will pull the ole "it's been too long since you have left the dealer we don't know if you did it yourself" line.

I didn't notice the dent in the leading edge of front bumper until I got
home. The stlr, Century in Spartanburg/Greenville, denied it. They know
they did it...water under the bridge, but it pizzzed me off. It's the only
"dent" I have, 7 years later.

Your situ/relationship will be the key. I wouldn't let it go...
