There is no factory amp, its all run from the head unit. (see pic of CD Changer).
So, the full range going to the front doors is split into the correct frequencies as designed in the component package. If it had been a DSP 3 front channel unit, I would have needed to install a "clean sweep" to send a full range signal to a 2 or 3 way crossover and components.

Looking to do the samewith my car, I also have the basic system. Did the Diamond midbass simply insert into the pods (naturally after removal of the original speakers)? Why didn’t you simply glue them in place with silocine seal or similar?
