Sounds like the transfer case is going bad. Do you hear any noises at idle?

You should look under the car to make sure nothing is rubbing against the tires. I had a tin can sound on an old mustang after I had the clutch done--the guys forgot to properly tighten my left exhaust pipe. Reading this thread made me think about that. I could only hear it at low speeds but not as high speeds..you should definitely look for something rubbing, first. Good luck

While looking around under there verify all CV boots are intact. You can get similar noise if you have dry CV joint. Good luck hope you find something other than transfer case.
