Well, if you do remove it at least you know you will have no problem selling it! Many people on this site need a hitch.

Weasel i saw you online, but can't write you a message for some reason.

My Selflevel issue is killing me, i take trips to BMW dealer 3 times a week, costing me 50$ every time, i know what you all are going to say, that BMW does not know anything, to some extant i agree.

As you already know, i replace both front air suspentions, the nose does not sag and drop anymore, but now my selflevel susp. inact message is still on, and whats most important. THE RIDE IS VERY ROUGHT, WHEN THE NOSE USED TO SAG IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE I MEAN IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE THE X, BUT NOW IT'S FINE EXCEPT EVERY BUMP AND EVERYTHING ON THE ROAD IS NOTICABLE, IN OTHER WORDS RIDE IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, AFTER THE DEALERSHIP REPROGRAMS THE SUSPENTION THE RIDE IS AMAZING, DRIVES VERY WELL, AND AFTER COUPLE OF DAYS PROBLEMS COMES ON AGAIN.
Guy at the dealership who usually works on my car finally tolled me that the new kompressor is needed, this kompressor reguates the air given to the suspention and for some reason this kompressor is acting up, they tolled me it will cost me arround 1,100$
i bought the car in U.S. and for that reason the BMW center does not cover my car, they have this stupid and ridicilous rule which says, unless i buy thr car BREND NEW from them they do not cover any cars, IDIOTS.
Is there anyway you guys can help me? any ideas suggestions?

Well that just isn't true. That would mean nobody could buy a used car under factory warranty!

As for the suspension problem... what fault code(s) are you getting? And it may be time to find another dealer to deal with, call ahead and talk to them about your current issue and schedule to have it looked at by one of the more qualified techs that actually knows the suspension system and how it works, as the younger guys will sometimes overlook the cause of the problems and treat the symptoms...

And I will be out of town again from tomorrow till Saturday, so won't be on the forum. after tonight untill the weekend.

Thats exactly how is is, In Republic of Georgia, we have only 1 BMW DEALERSHIP CALLED BMW CENTER, TO MAKE IT EVEN WORST, I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THEY DONT KNOW JACK SHIT, ONLY REASON THEY ARE OPEN AND DO NOT RUN OUT OF BUSINESS IS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE SOFTWERE HERE THAT DIAGNOSE ALL THE BMW'S IN MY COUNTRY, USUALLY WHEN PEOPLE FROM MY COUNTRY BUY X5'S AND IN FACT PEOPLE HERE BUY TONS OF BMW'S IN STATES THEY BRING IT IN THIS CENTER TO HAVE THE CARS DIAGNOSED, OTHER THAT THET PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE CHANGES THEIR OIL, BRAKE PADS AND SUCH AT INDIES.
As for my issue there is noone else here that will know x5 susp, i have to go by what they say, i know what u may think it is impossible for the guy who lives in states to imagine such thing but thats how it is here, i live in states myself and know the huge differences, anyway i'am in a shitty situation.

Thanks

thnx, i have not fixed the problem completely, i'am working on it now, after replacing the front airs struts, message is still on, and now they tell me the kompressor which regulated the air, (WHEN TO GIVE THE AIR TO THE STRUTS, IS ACTING UP) to replace it it's arround 1,000 dollars.

Can you tell me if you feel any roughness in your ride? is it bumpy?
thnx

jigaro I can feel you pain. I've had air suspension issues on and off ever since I purchased my X. It seems the X5's with full (front/rear) suspension are more prone to problems (I could be wrong about that). However, you will need to find an independent shop there in your country that has the correct code/reset computer tool if you can (I know you mention there is not but I hope you find one!) They are very expensive and only a few shops here in my location even have this. I believe its called a GT1. Luckily I have found a great mechanic here that keeps my air suspension going strong. When the air system is down I HATE the way my X5 feels. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. BTW just about every air suspension component has been replaced on my X. I guess you'll have to fork out the $ for a new compressor.

DIY solutions? Check these:

Thank you so much for your effort, i will have to look for someone that has this program.

You mantioning that almost every part of your air suspention has been replaced scares the shit out of me, money is not the issue here, what makes me mad is the fact, that i can't enjoy my x to its full potential.
All i need to hear is that the BMW telling me they cant fix it, and i will get another X, maybe E70 but they can't tell me shit, very mad.
thnx guys and i will keep u posted.
Zerochief, i like your x lots, why don't u put aluminum running boards on it? none of my business right?

I understand what you feel. Like I mentioned, I hate driving my X5 without a fully operational suspension

RB's might be going on soon BTW I like your X also!

thnx, do you think my air suspention will be damaged if i drive arround for couple of days before i take it to the dealership again?
I mean it is in fact rough right now, but not that bad, dealer tells me i need to change air suspention kompressor, might do it, but if he then tells me to change something else i might make him swollow that computer.
Anyway good luck and take care.
