100K miles celebration

My X just got to 100K miles~ :-) At a good healthy state! I purposely speed up to 100mph at the time it went right over to 100K miles~ Don't know~ just think it's kinda resembling a celebration~ you can see I set my speed limit at80mph:-) Just want to share my job and a little background on the SAV that traveled 100K miles in 4.3 years

Average MPG : 19.4-20.0
% of Highway: 75%
Purchased date: 8/4/2004
Current Milage: 100100
Color: Stearling Silver
Engine: 3.0i
Exhaust: Remus
No other modification, except brembo slotted rotor and axxix performance pad
Tires: Goodyear Assurance Triplethread

-No malfunction(touching serious wood) in any part of the car, I try not to open window as much as I could.
-AC stays on 90% of the time
-Only open Panaroma sun shade, operating of the actual window less than 100 times
-Occationally towed double jet skis
-Always going up and down mountain during winter for snowboard trips
-Offroad for 10 hrs (40 miles) the hummers hate me :-D
-Rear Ended Twiced, no frame damage
-Transmission(redline), Final Drive(redline), Sparkplugs(NGK) replaced at 80K miles (Finally learned that it is not a lifetime fluid)
-Engine oil usually replaced at half interval

Well~ I guess that's a very complete bio of my lovely healthy X. No special engine teatment stuff or fuel cleaning stuff. He only use ORGANIC bmw original parts for maintance. Only rear lights are complaining sometimes due to connection problem. Otherwise~ no complaints~ I am planning to take it to 200K. Cheers~

1.) I hear changing tranny fluid is a sure way of having the tranny shit the bed, if you did not change it on the regular...and

2.) any other special Maint at 100K??? I am still on my first waterpump and thermostat....I am told to change, but my INDY says....not til you have signs or it goes??

Turtle: Congrats! Very re-assuring for all of us E53 owners who are right behind ya.

Just out of curiosity: what % of those 100K have been driven in regular "D" and what % in "D Sport" mode? (no idea if this makes a longevity difference)

Congrats, Turtle!

Too much traffic for me to get up to 100mph when she turned 100k.
