battery under the LPG tank
Hi all,
My battery is located below the LPG tank so I'm wondering if I can remove the tank myself without any risk. I've seen a thread about this problem on this forum but it seems that there were different opinions. So my question, can I remove the tank myself to access the battery? There is no LPG specialist around here (Martinique, Caribbean). Thanks. |

hi ive just replaced my battery under gas tank.hope you are trained in motor vehicles.1st you remove boot cover for spare wheel then remove plastic cover around pipes and level indicator where everything connects to bottle.you will see shut off tap switch it to closed position then you can proceed to undo pipes take care until pressure has relesed dont let fluid get on your hands it hurts.wear gloves.now you can unbolt tank from mounts and lift out p.s may be heavy depending how full gas tank is.now you can change battery.refit tank in reverse order and put some gas tape on pipes b4 refitting.turn on tap and check for leaks with soapy water.if this is ok jobs a good un.
