When's a good time to replace belts/hoses?
Well, our 2002 X5 3.0i has been a workhorse throughout the years, has never failed us and we'd like to keep it that way. We just crossed the 89K mile threshold with original belts and hoses. Is it time to replace them or can we keep going for a while? I've noticed that there are a bunch of smaller hoses besides the usual upper/lower main hoses - should the smaller ones be replaced as well or am I asking for trouble? I have a great Indy in my area and just want to be sure what belts/hoses should be replaced before I bring her in and they go nuts replacing everything if it's not necessary.
