HEATER ISSUE NOT FSR

Hey all i've been on the forum for a while. this is my first post. i recently purchased a 2003 4.6is in blue i've had bmw since high school for the problems 1st the right side axle makes noise when turning right. 2nd is the rear heater/ac fan is always on even if the a/c control panel is off. the front fan never works i have changed 2 FSR with no help one from the dealer the 2nd from my buddies X5 they work in his not in mind . the dealer told me to change the panel but they are not sure it is the problem and if it is not i bought and changed it anyways does anyone know how i could check if it is the panel or the fan and where is the fan located i could check for power to the fan.other than that this X5 compared to my 95 M3 driving and handling wise and the power is there i love the truck once i finish these little things i will be in heaven thanks

1. CV joint is bad, replace it. Do both outside half shafts if you can just to know they both are new and don't have to worry about it for a while. You can do the yourself or find a midas or Mieneke type place and they can do it for a lot less than the dealer and a BMW indy mechanic.
2. The rear a/c fan has it's own control so make sure it's off. If the FSR didn't help then probably your blower motor is toast.

The 4.6 was made with the ///M style an power in mind. Keep a close eye and treat the tranny with care as that powerful engine maybe too much for that torque converter.

Good Luck!
