Big Problem with CD Unit

Hi X5 xperts,

I just got a 2002 3.0i Sport X5. The only problem I am having with the vehicle is that the CD changer comes up with error i.e. 1-99, 2-99 or "no disc" on the TV unit even though there are genuine CD's in the magazine.

The cassette player, radio and TV works fine. I have tried changing the CD changer thrice, one was a second hand one, the 2nd was an Alpine with the adapter and the 3rd was the recommended model version (brand new from BMW dealership). I still get the same error messages and thankfully I have not lost any money on all these trials.

I have even tried testing someone else's TV Head Unit and still I get the same issues. I have no idea what the heck is going on. Someone reckoned it might be a wiring problem or the Radio Tuner module is faulty. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going wrong here?

PLEASE PLEASE HELP.
