newbie DSC question!!

as of right now, snow is all over around my way..should i turn my "dsc" button on when i drive my X? thanks!!

i have a slow x5 that I've borrowed from my little cousin.. i really hate it when that white x6 (pix on my avatar) tailgates me all the time.. where ever i go..

No need. It's always on.

Only touch it to turn it off, if you are stuck perhaps and need some wheel spin. There are some threads here around it as well.

Its always on, pushing it on will deactivate it.

If we hold it down for a few seconds does it totally turn offf?, do the X's have the half way mode like the M's do?

no half mode, don't have to hold it down couple of seconds, 1 push its on 1 push its off.

If you hold the DSC button down for about 10secs then the light goes out. You then have half way mode.

I tested that, I don't think it's true, the engine power was still cut and the brakes were applied and it didn't let the car get out of line at all

i guess its different for a 00' x5? since i have to press dsc to have light activated on my screen.

NOPE,

If you push the button, and the light comes ON, the system is OFF!!

If you do nothing and the light flashes, then it is having to compensate for conditions.

If you push and HOLD the button, then the light goes OUT, the system is on half way, Brakes but no throttle.
