Cracked Wheel

No other signs of damage, just a crack that seems to have come out of nowhere.

Does anyone have a souce for a rear 19" #132?

If I try to find one online, how do I make sure I am getting an OEM?

Any idea why Finishline would be selling replicas for more than OEMS?

Answering all my own questions as my research progresses...

But if anyone would like to chime in - corrections or other opinions are welcome.

Finishline sells reconditioned OEM wheels.

That is how a OEM can cost less than a replica.

As for quality, I have no way to judge until I can get my hands on one.

I am hoping to get a wheel that had curb rash that has been repaired, and not one that like mine has been cracked and repaired. As far as I can tell, it will be a craps shoot.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
If it is OEM it would have the BMW part# on one of the inner spokes, in format x xxx xxx, (6 769 875 - front axle only) or (6 769 876 - rear axle only)

I've been thinking about what could have caused this crack.

And my memory takes me back three weeks ago when I was driving down the highway and I heard what I thought was the sound of a shotgun going off in the right rear of the car.

It was so loud that I actually flinched.

I could not imagine what the sound could have been, but I pulled over to look - and saw nothing.

I knew I didn't run over anything and after a while forgot about it.

Now I think I know what that horrendous noise was.

Hey blktop, sorry to hear about your crack in the rear

I recently bought a set of oem 132's and took some internal pics of each spoke just after I cleaned them, thinking that it may come in handy one day. My numbers & stampings don't stack up with what weasel stated and that maybe a euro delivery thing given that I'm in Oz. But apart from what weasel has quoted and from what I've read here all bmw oem rims will have a BMW stamp and not a BWM as some reps will have. Fore warned is fore armed, make sure you don't get shafted.

Hope these pics help in identifying an oem rim.

Interested to see a pic of the rim crack and final outcome of this unfortunate event. Good luck
