Question on Xenon low beam turning yellowish

Happy new year! Have a question on xenon low beam turning yellowish; when it is turned on, the light output is pure white, but after warmed up, the light becomes yellowish. The light bulb is Philips 5000K. Was the light lens or the ballast going bad? The car model year is 2001.

You are not alone since I have the same problem on our 2002 X5. I've replaced both HID DS2 bulbs with OEM OSRAM Philips bulbs. My passenger side is a bit brighter, but still not as white and slightly yellowish as compared with the driver's side. Interestingly, when I turn on the headlights, and watch the beam pattern on my white garage doors, they both illuminate, and then get brighter in full-white, then suddenly the passenger-side light dims down to about 75% intensity with a darker color. When I get out of the car, sure enough, that headlight has a yellowish tinge to it, not white-white like the driver’s side. Did you figure out your problem or can anyone weigh-in on our "yellowish" HID Xenon headlights? Maybe a bad/weak ballast?
