On my IS I got the Pirelli Scorpion Snow and Ice on my factory 20" rims. They are 275 40 20 on all four, they actually will fit both width rims. They have worked very well this winter through over a foot of snow. Rarely lose traction.

They are pretty good in the snow - not great but they stop and handle well.

I'd probably go with something more narrow and winter specific on smaller rims next time though.
+1

As noted, these fit the 4.8is' OEM 20" rims. They've been great in the snow for me.

How did you get them for that price? I just looked at the same ones and the total is $1,470.00. I also got this message...Thoughts?

The following tire you have selected has a higher load rating than the vehicle's Original Equipment (O.E.) tires. This typically results in increased ride harshness, which some customers may find undesirable.

Did you check out your local Michelin dealer? I just put on the same tires this past Sept - $1275 mounted, balanced, plus tax - I'm using them as a rain tire down here in the SE, but switch over to Pirelli Scorpions for winter when I travel up your way.

I bought these tires about 14 months ago, that's probably the price difference. I didn't see the tire rating difference notation when I bought them but they don't feel any stiffer than the Michelin Diamaris - maybe even a bit softer actually.
