installation of running boards in NYC!

anyone know a good shop to go to in NYC to install MUDS FLAPS and RUNNING boards(OEM aluminum) on my 05 x5 4.4I and how much it will cost me? or can i do this myself???thanks in advance for the info and help.

This is a DIY job which took me about 45 min. do some search on X5world you will find lots of info. and pic. of the install.

Damn ... you're quick!

It took me several hours. Then again, it was my first time, it was at night, in a bit of rain, and I re-used the rear flares on the 4.8.

Still 45 mins is fast!

DID the DIY..................from tear down to rebuild with new RB's......1.5 hours.....fairly easy and fun mod to do.....it was June though, a bit warmer than it is now!

I did all the research on the install on X5world ...... so I knew all the steps, and I also had all my parts ready .....

DIY ON RUNNING BOARDS TOOK ABOUT 2 HOURS WITH INSTALLATION OF MUD FLAPS. TASK WAS NOT HARD(SCALE FROM 1 -10 IS A 5). I WILL POST PICS SHORTLY AND BY THE WAY RUNNING BOARDS CHANGES THE WHOLE LOOK ON THE CAR, ONLY THING LEFT ON MY LIST OF IS RIMS BUT CAN NOT GO MORE THAN 20 INCH BECUASE I LIVE IN NYC. I WOULD LOVE TO GO 22 BUT THAT WILL BE STUPID. THANKS TO ALL FOR PROVIDING HELP AND INFO.

The RB's do make the X5 look much better ..........

22" ?????? R U talking about Dubs, spinners for your X5 ? who would put 22" on a SUV ?
