I think if you've done any modifications to your X, like larger wheels, then your speedo may read slightly different. We are limited 128. ///M's are limited to 155.

I am using premium fuel (shell v power) and a clean air filter, I have the afe CAI. And I did do a 20 inch wheel modification.
But when I floored it the X was climbing from 110 to 120 very slowly, and I assumed it was because it was limited at 120. I guess I'll give it another try if I get the chance. Also, when traveling at high speeds on a highway for a long period of time should tire pressure be inflated above the normal limit significantly? Right now im at 38 psi front and 42 rear. Should I go up to 40 psi front and 44 rear? Or more?

Mine did not struggle to 128, and seemed it could easily do more, but I'll trust the engineers.
edit* I actually did this on an emergency run to the hospital around 5 am. otherwise I feather foot it. |

hmm. I don't know then. My X might be getting old..
And I have been feeling the X lost some horsepower too. Anything I can do to get it back ?

You've gotta take the weight of the 20's and the rotation radius into account. I'm guessing you didn't calibrate the speedo after you put the 20's on? I know this doesn't seem like much but it's enough to throw everything off.....Phil

the '06 3.0 is definitely 130 (as indicated by the speedo) but takes years to get there

so to answer 4.6iS ryder no i did not calibrate the speedo after, but its really not off. My friend has one of those garmin navis that tell you your speed and it wasn't too far off.
Also, I got the X to finally hit 130! It did it with ease too. The tire pressure dropped significantly somewhere along the way to PA. I got the pressure back up and added 2 more psi to each tire for the trip back. Not sure if that did anything but it finally hit 130. Now I'm back in VA, no more open roads with little to no cops, and no more radar detectors. Oh well..
