Question Transmission reset?

Hi Boys with x5 toys. Does anybody know if/how to reset the transmission personal profile?
I.E the car learns how you drive and adjusts gearshiffting to you. If you buy a second hand it is profiled on the old owner so you need to get your profile in. I see some of you have jerk when the car shifts gear and it could be an old profile influencing your different way of driving?
Is the feature awailable for a late 2004 model?

After that the shifting adaptations should be reset and will re-learn to your driving style when you drive it again.

Try the following, it was posted by NOVAX5 some time ago. I believe it works.
Use 30 secs reset method. It will solve the problem.
-Turn key to position 2. But dont start the engine.
-Floor the gas pedal for 30-40 secs.
-Release the gas pedal, step on brake and start the engine.
-Drive FORWARD (Not reverse, so make sure you are out of your garage before you attempt to do the transmission reset)

Do this every other month or when the transmission start slamming again.

Good luck.

Sorry, I'm not sure. Hopefully 'weasel' or someone else in the know will come across this thread and help out.
