Angel eye bulbs

I'm aware of some of the different angel eye's options and the LED bulbs, but I just wanted to know simply what would be a simple angel eye bulb replacement? I was looking to go with the same type of bulb just in a slightly more blue hue to match the xenons. I just can't seem to find what type of bulb it uses? I swapped out the stock ones in my 08' E92 coupe with the GP Thunder 8500k's and love the way they look. Not looking for brighter, just whiter. Thanks

Isn't that a full kit or and expensive bulb replacement? I just want to replace the stock ones with a normal hyper white type bulb. They look great on my E92 and cost me about $15 on ebay. Quick, easy and cheap. I don't find the expensive kits to look significantly that much better to justify spending $100, $200 or anything like that. I don't drive around with the parking lights at all, angel eyes are only in use when the headlights are on but hate the contrast of the white/blue xenons and yellowish rings.

I tried these LED replacement bulbs on EBay => http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HIGH-...Q5fAccessories
They are whiter than the OEM halogen bulb, but at about the same brightness. The problem is that they burnt out only after about 3 months and this was during the summer months where the lights were not even being used all that much.

I do agree with Jay, either stick with the OEM halogen or go with the Angelibright replacement bulbs. The ebay stuffs are crap. Unfortunately, there isn't any "whiter" halogen bulb

So...either shell out the big bucks for those high quality, higher priced decorative lights or stay OEM as there isn't any middle ground here.

Stock angel eye bulb is Philips 12082, 12V, 10W.

They are correct as far as your options:

1. Stock bulb
2. Angelibrights bulb with integrated housing (best LED replacement but expensive - $300)
3. All other LED replacements come with bulb and housing integrated. However, there doesn't seem to be much difference with them (ranging in price from $45 to $150.

Initially, I went with the ebay kind for $45 bucks. Nice cheap upgrade I think. Have had them for 2.5 months no probs.

However, I want brigther ones so went with Angelibrights v3.0. I should receive them soon and I'll post pics of the difference. If I'm happy with them, I'll sell the ebayers.

BTW .. I tried DIY LED bulbs and was not better than the ebay kind - hard to find the right bulb.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the advice and feedback guys. I'm going to give the ebay LED replacements a try. If they burn out, I'll go back to stock. No biggie. $300 to change my angel eyes color is abit absurd to me. Thanks!

My thought exactly. However, my ebay LED replacements burnt and I'm back to stock.
