Jacking Equipment...

In the rear, under the storage deck, inside the spare compartment, where the jack, handle, and blocks are, there is a space in the molding for some other peice of equipment.

This is in the spot closest to the tailgate, on the left side.

This space is empty in my X5, can anyone tell me what goes there?

Also, does anyone have a picture of their tow hook/ring?

Hi blktop,
Do you mean the recessed area within the black plastic moulding LHS ?? I think it is recessed there to reduce the length of the bolts holding this cover plate in place. I may be wrong though.
The tow hook is located on the RHS within the boot area, see pic.

Do the X5's sold in other countries have the warning triangle, is there a space for it?

Hey Daka,
Yes, over here in Oz we get the safety triangle as standard, no doubt the same in Europe & Asia. Check out this link Installing safety triangle . It should give you some idea where it goes.

Mine (secondary market) did not come with a FA Kit. Anthing special about it that is helpful, or is it just like carrying bandaids (bandages) in the glovebox?
