Exclamation Crashed! Any ideas could help..

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum (but not to BMW's) I've had my X for about eight months, and in a recent snow storm, ran it into a curb sideways(passenger side) at about 25 mph.. Uhg.. It was a bad night. Anyways, I decided to claim it on my insurance, which has a $1000 deductable! And my question to you guy is: What damage might it have caused? The BMW dealership found the following: Broken rim, bent rear lower control arm, bent axel shaft, and alighnment. I know that more was wrong with the car than that being that once I threw the spare on afterwards and took it for a drive around the block, the brakes were making a awful noise when applied, and hardly worked. The dealership tried telling me that the brakes were just fine, and that they were making the noise because they're drilled brembos.. I freaked and asked them what's the name of the mechanic who's going to get kicked in the balls when finished with the car, and it's still making the awful noise?! Silence.. for about ten or so seconds. Then he replied with 'Maybe we'll check them a few more times'. Haha it was awsome.. Anyways my insurance will cover anything that was caused from the crash, so if anyone has any ideas of what more could have happened.. Please let me know And BTW, Sorry that was so long..

hard to tell what cause more from the crash seen you did not have any pics for us to tell.
BTW let the insurance handle all the repairs.cuz it will be too MUCH to fix it on your own.

As far as pics.. The car looked just fine side from the pass rear wheel had a chunk taken out of it, and was bent under the car about five inches.. I would post pics, but I haven't been on the X5 forum long enough
And as for insurance, I am def making them fix EVERYTHING. That's why I posted this

Hey man sorry to hear that. I had a similar incident where this guy came in my lane, and i avoided him, but the car was losing control (was in ice) and i almost hit an oncoming car but was able to maneuver around it but still slid into a curb. At first glance, it looked like you it was only two broken rims. But there was aloooot of damage! I can't recall details, but i think even the axil was replaced, along with the brakes, control arms, and a few other things, it was a while back. but what i really remember was when i was driving it off the road, and i turned the steering wheel left, the right tire was still turned to the right!

you were definitely smart to call insurance.

ahh..

Wow.. That sucks man. I don't think mine is quite as bad as your was, but it's still pretty bad.. Do you remember how much the total was on your repair bill?

it was about 600 each for each of the 18s since they were oem, so 1200, then i had to replace the tires out of my pocket because they were kinda worn, +800 (waste coz i ended up getting 20s later), then about 3-5 grand for the rest of the work.. don't remember exactly. i didnt have to pay for anything except the tires since they classified it as a hit and run.

goodluck with your repairs hopefully not too much damage was done!
