quit whining...no one likes the maintenance costs of BMWs -- just understand that it comes along with the territory. if you like the MDX, buy one. If not, keep the X5 and enjoy the people that try to help out on this site. No one is picking on you because you are complaining about the problems associated with your X5 -- this site is here to guide you along your journey with the "ultimate driving machine" -- yes, the Acura and Lexus probably have better histories of dependability, but they also dont offer you the enjoyment of ownership that BMW does (IMHO)...
