Your map DVD does not dictate whether or not you can display a perspective view map (3d). The operating system installed does. It is easy to upgrade the operating system by the way.

Go in to settings on the display in your dash. You should see in the top right hand corner of the screen something like 4-1/xx where xx is two numbers. 4 is because you have mark iv. 1 is because you have a colour screen i think.

This link will help you to determine which version of operating system you have:
http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...ystem-faq.html

If you have v27 onwards you can initiate perspective mode on your screen. to do so simply go in to the settings page and hold the MENU button (above the dial knob) for several seconds. A new menu will pop up. Scroll to the bottom of that menu and tick the perspective mode option. Now go back to your sat nav system and the map will still be 2d. Go to the option that lets you display whether the car direction is pointing up or north is pointing up on the map. A new option will be there - perspective.

If you have an older than v27 operating system you can upgrade easily by downloading the right files and following the upgrade procedure. Very easy to do and quick.
