Hi,

Do any of your kits have the Centric Posi Quiet pads available? I've been told they are excellent pads, they produce little to no dust and they are very quiet. I have an E53 3.0i and I'm getting tired of cleaning the dust from my wheels every few days!

Many of the kits will include PBR / Axxis Ultimate Ceramic Brake Pads, largely just to keep the confusion and clutter down on the website.

We do however have a large selection of other brake pads available and the sales staff on the phones are able to change out pads in the kits.

Well, we do have access to OEM European parts, however since the models are not available in the states we do not make an application for the vehicle.

Feel free to shoot us an email or PM if there is something specific you are looking for, chances are we can probably source it for you.

A bit off topic. But do I need to replace rotors when replacing pads? I know BMW recommends it but is it really ncessary?

Also, are the brembo rotors in this package better than OEM rotors? Do they wear slower or faster than OEM ones?

It is ideal to replace the rotors when replacing the pads, but I wouldn't say it is necessary. The reasoning behind replacing them at the same time is to ensure the pads bed into the rotors properly. Replacing the pads on a rotor that has not been turned can result in pads wearing out sooner due to the surfaces not "matching up".

I personally would not have as much issue putting different pads on rotors that only had a few 1000 miles on them, versus putting new pads on rotors that had 25k+ miles on them. If putting new pads on a higher mileage rotor, it's a very good idea to have them turned.

As far as wear goes, it is extremely subjective to driving style and also location. Brembo makes an extremely good rotor, the OEM ones are as well. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they are both great options for replacement and should offer a good amount of life.

Someone that lives out in the country and brakes very seldom will probably get more life out of their brake components than someone that lives in a big city, but again that can also have to do with driving habits.

In general, a more aggressive pad will wear out rotors more quickly, however typically the idea behind a more aggressive pad is better stopping power along with better heat characteristics (track use, etc...).
