How to remove rear seat middle head rest?

Does anyone know how to remove the rear seat head rest? I tried pulling it out, but it doesn't seem to want to come out. I haven't really tried forcing out b/c I don't want to break it somehow. I think the front seat head rests have a button next to them that will release them from the seat. I need to remove the middle head rest due to my child's car seat.

Mine just pulls out - no button to press or anything. I have an 04.
