Front Diff.

Greetings from frozen Toronto.
Can someone tell me if I can check the front diff fluid on my 2002 3.0l by only removing the front plastic splash guard. Do I ned to remove the aluminum skid plate ?

My mechanic removed both when he changed the front diff fluid for me.

if you have an extention long enough you won't need to remove the skid plate to check your front diff fluid, you may need to crank the wheel to gain better access
