10mm H&R spacers won't fit on rear wheels?

Hi all I just purchased some H&R wheel spacers, 10mm front and 25mm rear. I found that without fender flares the 25mm rear spacers are too much (the wheels stick out too much from the fender, 19" stock wheels). So I thought the 10mm would be a nice option for the rear and do nothing to the front, well it seems the 10mm will not fit, seems to be a different size? This seems odd to me the front and rear should be the same, shouldn't they? Anyone have any input on this.

Yes that is odd. Did the 10 mm fit in the front? When you say it doesn't fit what exactly do you mean?

By different size do you mean different HUB size openings (as in you need hubcentric rings?) or different type of spacer? Not sure if I'd use rings on a spacer.

Some spacers reuse the existing bolt/studs others bolt-on and use aftermarket.

The 10mm fit fine on the front, but the opening seems to be to small to fit the rear. WHat i'm asking i guess is if the front and rear hub centers are different sizes on the X5.

As far as I know they are supposed to be the same - it doesn't make sense to be different. It might just be a tight fit on the side you tried it on the rear.

Have you checked both sides?

Both hub centers are the same size. There could be excess rust build up on the rears that's making it harder to fit. I had to use some sandpaper to scrape some of the rust off before the spacers would fit nicely.
