Subwoofer Question

I have a 02 X5 without DSP. I would like to add a subwoofer. Do I need an amp for the factory X5 OEM subwoofer or can I just plug it in an play?

I don't know if you need an amp, but we do have DSP, and I can't emphasize enough that if you don't already have the OEM sub, don't get it. It's not that good. There are plenty of excellent aftermarket subs that would end up costing you less. In the articles, look at the Stereo Section . Also post this question in the Stereo forum. You will get responses from members there who really know what they are doing, but some of them don't post here.
