Thumbs up Helogen to xenon conversion

Recently converted 2003 x5 from helogen to xenon. The conversion was awesome. Now driving @ night is less eye straining and can view object much more clearly.

Umnitza was knowledgeable & helpful.

Did you do the work yourself? How much of a pain in the a$$ was it? Or how much did it cost? I really want to get this done.

whole xenon plus install cost about US $800. Contact Matt @ [email protected] (www.Umnitza.com). Good luck.

Personally, I think all the enhancements Dinan did to my 03 X5 make the car handle better and reponse more dynamic:With the chips and throttle body, the x5 has more torque and power both @ low and hi rpm (you will notice more @ hi-rpm). And I also notice the engine reponses smoother @ low rpm. The D-exhaust is awesome, both sporty Dinan exhaust sound and more horsep. Also installed the camber plate which provides excellent handling @ cornerning. I really appreciate what Dinan did to my x5 and I highly recommanded.

You might want to talk to Curious Joel about his experience with Umnitza.

He also might want to talk to Mike instead.

Curious Joel has long since been refunded and continued "relaying his experience" will simply be inaccurate to our overall business approach.

Thanks for the post Mike!!!

BTW - Mike - do you mind if I post the pictures of the install? Of do you wish to?

Who cares about being refunded, was he compensated for the inconvenience you put him through? I fail to see how what CJ has to say as now being inaccurate. He can tell his experience from the beginning until the end. If his experience was against your business approach, why did it happen? I also think your reply says volumes about your business approach.

We simply cannot please everyone all the time. It happens, infrequently as it does, and it happened that we explained ourselves already on the situation in another thread.

Some of the steps here we go:

Start with bulb and connector (9006) from car. Drill out the connector, a Dremel works best here and takes only a minute.

Here's a close up of what needs to be shaved out.

Use snips to break this piece off, as it's in the way.

Note how the bulb will slide in from the front.

Note how the bulb fits securely against the H7 slot.

Finished fitment.
